On The Black Rose, the second LP by Church of Starry Wisdom, the band continues their sonic exploration of life, despair, ecstasy and the perpetual human quest to discover the magic that brings joy to our tears. The black rose is a sprawling retro-futuristic, pop-rock fantasia. On the LP the band blends elements of Dark Wave, Power Pop, Gospel, and R&B to create a unique sound all their own. Recorded at Just a Dream Studios at The Rialto Theatre in Kenmore, Ohio. Co-Produced by CoSW and Nate Vaill.
The first studio album to be released by CoSW: A thematic, continuous-play experience. An aural dive through cosmic space and time; feel the anxiety and rage play tag with hope and despair. Recorded at ARC (Akron Recording Company) using classic analog methods and equipment, digitally mixed and mastered.
