Church of Starry Wisdom
CoSW is an ensemble of griots whose song-craft emphasizes storytelling in retro-future parables, experimenting in pop & soul through a rock-operatic lens. Their analog-digital hybrid sound takes audiences on cosmic trips through time and space using elements of noise, punk, jazz, rock, R&B, and musical theater. They have worked with the Rialto since 2016 where they produced their first live album (“Live at the Rialto” 2017), second LP (“The Black Rose” 2022), and their single “Jump Up” (2023).
Creating Lewis
Creating Lewis blends avant-pop, neo-soul, and musical theatre to investigate collective care, systems of power, authentic wholeness, and radical love. The name “Lewis” has roots meaning “famous warrior.” Creating Lewis explores how we embody a warrior during these times. In what ways do we show up with courage, do we stay present in the struggle for wholeness, healing, repair, life and freedom? This project steps into liminal space and core questioning with harmony, power, and heart.
